Tor Browser 4.5 delivers refreshed UI, privacy silder and Windows shortcut
TOR has had a major upgrade to stable version 4.5 of its dedicated browser.
Tor, which is a redundant abbreviation for The Onion Router, allows users to stay anonymous online and make visits that cannot be traced back to the individual through a series of relays which encrypt the credentials over and over again.
The browser brings the technology into a dedicated single web package across several operating system architectures, based on Mozilla's open source Firefox browser. With the leap from the previous 4.0.8, Tor Browser 4.5 brings some significant changes. Most notable for Windows users is that Tor Browser is now available as a shortcut from the start menu.
