Terror attacks used to usher in SSSCA bill

So what thousands of people died? According to this story from The Register, the movie and record industries are using the nations shock as a tool to sneak in the Security Systems Standards and Certification Act (SSSCA), a machiavellian copyright protection bill that forces copy-controlled hardware on all electronic items from PC's, to cell phones, to digital music players, to cameras. Greed and the quest for power riding on the back of national grief. Tragic if this tactic succeeds.

The Register.
