A Subjective Look at PCLinuxOS

I have started and stopped this “review” about 5 times now. My problem was simple. I was not saying something that had not already been said a dozen or so times before. I finally came to understand that, while technical nuts-and-bolts reviews are valuable, they are not what the new Linux User is looking for.

At least not the two dozen I have helped in the recent past. What I want to do here is simply explain why PCLinuxOS is, hands down, the best New User Linux distribution available at this time. Let’s get one thing out of the way, and that is the sure-to-come cries of “fanboi” and “Troll”. In a bit over 2 years, I have used, to one extent or another, 164 Linux distro’s. Many of them came close to being the New-User friendly OS I was looking for, but none of them filled the criteria I sought.
