Radeon SE?

A couple of days ago our friends from PCPOP published two pictures of a card they claim to be RADEON SE. We are not sure about this name because there was no official information about it. We think that it is the right time to make an analysis of what we know about this unannounced board.

If you take a look at the stickers on the back of the card, you will notice that the part number are slightly different.

RADEON: 102-70703-00 Rev. 04

RADEON SE: 102-70709-20 Rev. 03

Our next one is ASIC (applications specific integrated circuit):

RADEON: 215R6WASA13

RADEON SE: 215R6EBGA22H

Something really hot! The core has different ASIC number! It means that the chip has different integrated circuit. It may proove we have a brand new RADEON chip and board. Furthermore I assume that they differ from an "old" RADEON core with something more than just higher clocking.

To conclude, it seems to be a redesigned board. What does the new design give us - we will learn only after the appropriate tests, however, we may almost guarantee that RADEON SE is certainly something totally different from an "ordinary" RADEON.
