New Exploit Discovered For PlayStation 3 Firmware 3.56
Currently, there is no working jailbreak solution for PS3 firmware 3.56, though there have been tools like 3.56 firmware spoofer which help prevent accidental upgrade from a jailbroken 3.55 firmware but still don’t allow PSN access.
According to PSX-Scene it seems that hacker Mathieu Hervais has already found an exploitable bug for bootloader and firmware version 3.56. The hacker tweeted that he a has discovered a bug that allows exploiting metldr, the bootloader and firmware version 3.56.
However, the developer has refused to release the exploit ever to the public, due to Sony’s ongoing crackdown against PS3 hackers filing lawsuits against them. This clearly means Sony has succeeded in its mission of silencing the hackers forcing them to keep their exploits hidden forever due to fear of facing a lawsuit.
