Looking back at the P4 launch
Saw this over at Arstechnica
Dean Kent of RWT has been following the recent rounds of P4 reviews, retractions, re-retractions, and re-re-retractions, and he doesn't like what he's seen. In response to the situation, he's posted a pretty good rant on benchmarking and reviewing practices, and he concludes it with a call for some changes. I have to say that I agree with a lot of his take, even though I myself was guilty of a hasty conclusion and subsequent retraction after looking at the first round of P4 reviews.
