Korean HSBC attacked

The internet banking service of HSBC Korea was temporarily shut down on Saturday after its official Web site was attacked by hackers, HSBC Korea said.

The Internet banking service was paralyzed after HSBC Korea’s Web site domain operator Gabia was hacked.

HSBC Korea said it was notified from state-run Korea Internet Security Agency about suspected hacking of its Web site at 1:09 p.m. on Saturday and the bank managed to resume the Internet banking at 2:32 p.m.
