King of the Generic Notebooks!

Eurocom in Canada has been making highly upgradeable notebooks for the last 10 years. Unlike companies like DELL, that will void your warranty the minute you try to upgrade an internal component, Eurocom encourages it! In fact, one of their selling points is that you can upgrade any of their notebooks at anytime. We had a chance to review their top of the line Eurocom, the 8500V, which sports a 1 GHz processor. Here's a clip:

"The Eurocom 8500V is one huge notebook! It is absolutely enormous! In fact, it is so big, it dwarfs my already large Dell Inspiron 8000!! It barely fit into my Pelican 1490cc Hard Shell Notebook case. It is fitted with a large 15” XGA screen which allows resolutions up to 1400 x 1500 and is matched with an ATI Mobility 128 video card with 16 Megs of RAM. It also features a full size keyboard while pointing duties are carried out with a standard two button touchpad."

Futurelooks.
