Issue #17

Wow... Issue #17 already, which pretty much means we've been alive for 17 months... and we still keep going. :) Anyway, the last one month has been pretty hectic for most of us - madirish is off doing his project work, I've been going for interviews and meetings and haven't really slept much, bonghittr has gone MIA, and pretty much everyone else (including madsaxon which means no SOTHA this month) is busy doing their own thing. But that's the way life is I suppose - we still managed to scour enough material to put together an issue -- we've even got more article than we did in the last issue! Amazing.

Well since I don't really have much to say, I'll end off here, and let you guys get down and dirty with the text, but before I go, I should mention that we've got two new affiliates on board - Brass Knuckles Webzine and Security News Portal. Both sites shouldn't be new to most of you, and we at HITB are happy to have them on board... You can look forward to slightly more diverse topics and content in the coming weeks (thanks in part to these two strategic partnerships), and also look out for a new HITB forum! I've been working on it for some time, but left off to see to personal matters. I'm hoping to get it up and running by July (latest). So stay tuned...

1.) Remote Host Discovery with Portscanning - adept
2.) Script Kiddies and Screenwhores - Grifter
3.) Intro to Packet Sniffers - Grifter
4.) Quantum Mechanics (Part 2) - Josette
5.) SWATing Samba - socrates
6.) The Quest for Passwords - Shaft
7.) Windows or Linux? - Sebastian
8.) Getting Started with MySQL - L33tdawg
