Intel Gets Funky With New MP3 Player
Saw this over at IDG.
"Intel wants to be more than just the world's biggest CPU maker. The company is announcing Tuesday its latest consumer hardware device: an MP3 player with an FM tuner and 128MB of built-in flash memory."
Apparently, the Intel Pocket Concert Audio Player (phew, what a mouthful) can hold up to four hours of music and powers up to 10 hours of play with 2 regular AA batteries. The giant chip maker uses its own StrataFlash memory for the player which lets the company offer double the flash memory of most small form factor MP3 devices currently in the market.

I wonder what's up with Intel, wanting to venture into the consumer hardware market nowadays?
