he HTC Hero’s Android firmware has been leaked onto the internet and wily hackers over at the XDA Developers Forum have managed to cram it inside a T-Mobile G1 (an HTC Dream by any other name). The new version of Android has some interesting new features and cool-looking visual touches.

The HTC Hero is likely to be the next Android phone to escape from the HTC labs, and is already lined up for Orange France. The Hero will come with a different version of the Android OS, with some interesting additions developed by HTC. Luckily, a copy of the new firmware has been leaked and some bright spark has installed it on a G1 to see how it looks.
