BitTorrent users are 170 percent more likely to download legally than non-torrenters
BitTorrent has announced the results of its 2014 user survey, revealing that, far from leeching, BitTorrent users are significantly more likely to pay for music content than internet users as a whole.
Christian Averill, director of communications at the company, told The INQUIRER: "Our users are avid consumers of multimedia, adventurous listeners and viewers, and are driven to engagement by challenge and diversity more than a single style or genre."
The survey, entitled Where Creativity Thrives, shows that BitTorrent users are 170 percent more likely to have bought music legally than non-users.
