Are you planning a switch to Windows 7?
With much fanfare typical of Microsoft, the hotly anticipated Windows 7 finally launched yesterday. Of course, Windows 7 would not be completely foreign to those of you who are administrators or IT managers at this point, what with the beta release and subsequent availability on MSDN as an RTM.
In fact, I installed the free 90-day trial of Windows 7 Enterprise RTM on a new SSD (Solid State Drive) barely two weeks back. I do concede that most users would probably just get their hands on a standard RTM copy of Windows 7 and extend the free usage to 120 days--legally--by running the 'slmgr-rearm' command. I opted for the special trial though because I will be able to get hold of a non-trial Enterprise license key eventually, and figured that this is the path of least resistance.
