F-Secure Detects New Class-Zero-Message Tool
HushSMS lets you send a class zero message (aka Flash-SMS or stealthy PING message) to another mobile phone. The message is discarded on the owner’s phone and no trace exists.
The sender will get back a message from the operator that their message has been delivered, thus knowing that the phone is switched on. The tool exploits a vulnerability in Windows Mobile 5 and 6 based PocketPCs.
HushSMS claims on their website zero class messaging is a freeware solution for professionals who need to check if someone’s phone is switched on, to send “information to that phone without it being stored”.L33tdawg: Maxis doesn't support Flash-SMS (yet). Anyone with Celcom or DiGi know if its supported on those networks?
