How to hack Windows XP Admin Passwords

Source: Anticrack

This hack will only work if the person that owns the machine
has no intelligence. This is how it works:

When you or anyone installs Windows XP for the first time your
asked to put in your username and up to five others.

Now, unknownst to a lot of other people this is the only place in
Windows XP that you can password the default Administrator Diagnostic
Account. This means that to by pass most administrators accounts
on Windows XP all you have to do is boot to safe mode by pressing F8
during boot up and choosing it. Log into the Administrator Account
and create your own or change the password on the current Account.

This only works if the user on setup specified a password for the
Administrator Account.

This has worked for me on both Windows XP Home and Pro.

this is one mad thread! love reading all of your remarks, even though they contain shocking grammatical errors and loads of spelling mistakes. you guys should work on that. i've always thought that hackers were highly intelligent people. maybe i was wrong.

Heaven FORBID those foolish people who know less then you, right? You, the computer GURU...right? I mean, @aol.com? That's for people with NO computer experiance! I bet your internet and computing experience is much more meaningful because you use Linux and a personal e-mail that has no strings attached to a commercial giant like AOL, right? I bet you just freakin' sleep better at night now that you've bashed someone who doesn't have as much knowledge as you, am I right? Do me a favor...get off your high horse and go kill yourself. You make me sick. "Someone asks a simple question? Hmmm...I could be nice and solve it for them since I have such a vast knowledge of all things computer...but instead, I think I'll be a dork and try and make myself feel better by making their problem seem trivial and worthless! I'll feel AWESOME after that!" I swear, you guys are constantly comparing dick sizes. "I'm better then you because I can hack a computer. And if you don't know how, then you don't ddeserve to be on one. Plus, you have AOl." How dumb does that sound? Really. I hate computer geeks...

by the way if you want to retrieve an old password rather than resetting it try this site:

http://www.xppasswordrecovery.co.uk

takes about 10 mins and then it tells you the old password without changing it.

Also as some people seem worried about installing stuff this program INSTALLS ON A FLOPPY DISK so there is no trace of it left and it can be done on non-admin acounts.

First you can log on as administrator and change the account which you want to change.
If this account is admin account, you have to use a password recovery tool.Recommend you a useful one,Windows password rescuer, you can download from google for "windows password rescuer professional".How to use you can visit the Daossoft website,it is simple.I also used it before, because I also lost my windows password.

True. All of these users are initially setup as admins with no passwords.

"Now, unknownst to a lot of other people this is the only place in Windows XP that you can password the default Administrator Diagnostic Account."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

(XP Pro) False. Unless you are speaking of a secret unknown "default Administrator Diagnostic Account", which I or anyone else has never heard of. All users are listed in "Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Local Users and Groups -> Users", which can be modified from there if you have the correct permissions.

(XP Home) Partially True. XP Home does not have "Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Local Users and Groups". Xp Home only has "User Accounts", and the default Admin account is not listed because it is disabled in Normal Mode by design. Besides modifying the registry, the default Admin account will not show up in "User Accounts" while in Normal Mode. The only other way to change it's password is by opening "User Accounts" in Safe Mode. Even after modifying the registry to make Admin visible in normal mode, you still can only login into that account in Safe Mode. (even "three-fingering" it has not worked in my experience)

How do you "Log into the Administrator Account" "if the user on setup specified a password for the Administrator Account" and you DON't KNOW the password????? This does not make sense to me.

"This has worked for me on both Windows XP Home and Pro."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the most part this information is only applicable to XP Home. The only way it applies to Pro is if the default Admin was never given a password or if there are other Admin accounts which don't have passwords set (this would explain your "no intelligence" quote in the first sentence).

If I am incorrect, please let me know. As far as I'm concerned this is not a hack. It is only luck that either you know an Admin password, or the person who setup the computer wasn't smart enough to set one.

I just wanted to say how to get to the default administrtator account for all you smart people who dont know a thing about networking or winXP all you have to do is go to controll panel then go to users then go to change the way users log on there is only one other option DONT use the welcome screen, log off and you will notice it looks it gives you a place for a logon name and password. For user put in administrator and there is no password by default

Hi everyone. This is my case. I have a user account on my own machine which has limited privileges due to the admin's control. What I need to do is hack his pass to be able to change my user group or add required privilges. If there is a way to do this without hacking his password it would also be great.

BTW, the machine is on a network if that could mean anything to you.

I did read a few suggestions and a few replies which made me a little bit confued, so I really could use a working solution to this.

Thanks in advance.

boot up using win 2000 cd. upon entering windows 2000 recovery console the hard drive is wide open, since the anonymous user is logged in under the administrator account. all accounts on the windows xp machine are at risk for this vulnerability.

the NTFS system XP and Win2k uses is totally different to 95/98/ME etc. in that boot disks normally allow you to boot the system but not access any data. in this situation you get in with admin rights using the Win2k CD, you get access to the whole PC's files/settings etc. without single admin password.

hey. um thanks. im at school right now. when i get home my mom will lock the computer up. so i cant get in. ive tried this b4 but it says cannot load or something. oh well. il try it again. im not sure. if any one out there could email me a way to hack my moms comp plz email me. masterpimp8787@aol.com. thanks. umm she doesnht have a screen name. but at the start it says home. then u have to click in the pass word.ive tried alot of shit but im not good with hacking. if any one out there that can help me plz do. this is my aol im sc. l Love Stacey 66. exactly. thanks

hrmmm, this is a very simple way to get axx to a newb's box or someone who doesnt know anything. first off all you need is one simple program x-scan go get it at www.xfocus.org then run the gui or dos whichever you choose and go into scan modual under conifg and diselect all but nt-server password then in the paremater enter in the ip range (you can do one ip or mass ranges) like this 68.2.2.2-68.2.2.2 and then hit the start button and let the program do the work for you if its vuln then you check the log and hit detials and it will give you the admin acount,

Actually you're wrong. On your desktop, right click on 'My Computer' and then click on 'Manage', double click on 'Local Users And Groups', double click on 'Users', right click on 'Administrator' and then left click on 'Set Password'. Next time before you try giving people advice, know what you're talking about. There's a concept!!

Unfortunately, there's a problem with this. As far as I know, only the Administrator account can use the manage feature to change passwords, and the option isn't available in WindowsXP Home Edition.

On WinXP Pro is a different story, but I sincerely doubt you can use that feature under a guest account. The entire point of this thread is to help people hack administrator passwords.

But look at it this way, passwords have to be held somewhere on the system. Find the file and you can figure out admin passwords easily. But, again, the area this is in is probably restricted to guest users. You'd have to have access to a power user account, I assume. I use WindowsXP on my home computer(Trying to get Redhat Linux to cooperate with it, if anyone would please help me with that), with Administrator access for myself, so I'll have to set up a power user account to test this on, under the assumption that I can even find the passwords.

I would try checking any system resource files, it may even be in an encrypted file.

I have a limited access account under windows xp pro on my friend's computer and she wont give me admin access so that I can install programs that I need to use.

I have looked under Computer Mangement>LocaL Users and Groups>Users and there is no Administrator Account and the Guest Account is disabled. The only account with Admin access is hers.

Now she does not know much about computers and it must have been set up by a friend, so is there anyway I can change my account so that I can get Admin access without here being any the wiser?

LOL don't you know to click start>run> and then browse to the app you want?
lawd I wonder what happened to peoples minds?
the machine is programmed by people.
but the old rule of the machine only being as smart as the
programmer/user is bypassed by the fact that :
Anyone can now own a machine? LOL

Obtain a copy of ERD Commander from winternals.com. boot from the CD and use the locksmith tool to change any local password that you would like. be sure to have the driver floppy for any SCSI or RAID controllers that don't have a default driver for xp.

Ok, my dad has reset his password like 3 or 4 times. I wanna get it so i can change my settings. Will the f8 thing make me be able to access his sign on name? Will a keyspy work if i sign on my name, then sign off and leave the keyspy on??? That might give me his password, but it might not. Plz help. Im a noob hackers, so bear with me on this post. Thx so much.

hey ppl!
I recently had a little problem when I put a new password on my own user
but the problem was I wrote it twice with a mistake so I didn"t know the password.
after nearly of 3 hours sitting infront of my computer I got the way to hack it.
follow the next steps and you will unlock your user(100%)

1) Boot your computer

2) On the "Welcome Screen" press "ALT+CTRL+DEL", and this will bring you to the Classic Log on.

3) Now here starts the tricky part. you have to remember some thing.
when you installed your OS in the setup you had to put an Admin. and 5 more users.
you must remember the FIRST password you gave to your ADMINISTRATIVE user

4) In the username tab write : Administrator

5) In the password tab write : THE FIRST PASS YOU GAVE TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE user
if you didn"t give a pass then just fill the "Username" and press enter.

6) now you should be logged on to a user that almost no one knows about it,
now right click on "My computer" and choose "Manage"
now you are at a screen called "Computer Management"
there go to "Local Users and Groups" choose "Users" and change the pass to the needed user
by pressing right click on the user you need and choosing "Set Password..."

NOTE: VERY IMORTENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This method is actually not hacking(if it used in the way i showed) but maybe ILLIGAL
if you use it on someones mechine, and this method can endanger the priviet files of the user
so use at you OWN RISK, cuz you wont be able to cry to Microsoft they wont help!
and I won't be responsible to any of your problem after using it...it worked for me but can you up...

lol. Hey, you guys might bit recognize me, thats cuz im new!!!! I have no idea on how to hack, If anyone could direct me to a different website etc. etc. or tell me how you learnt to hack...well ne wayz heres my deal.....my dad is a comp geek... and he caught me look1n6 a7 porn So he set up an administrative account and made the password something that has nothing to do with....anything......hwo could i hack it??????????????????// im dying...i needs ma porn, and games. Please do not flame me....thanks in advance to anyone that'll be helpfull

Yo man...look
i can help you a little i think...
if your computer already had a pass before you dad put one then i cant really help if you dont know the old one...but if it didn't have...use my way and it will work...

I'm new to the hacking game but have been searching all day to find out how to hack the admin password so i can change my user prvileges. Don't know if it helps, but can you use a keylogger to record the password that is typed in by the admin then check the log to see what they typed?

ok i am only going to say this once all your ideas are great most work but true hackers dont over work or over think them selves LOL. goto KAzaa download winternals admin pac

ok i am only going to say this once all your ideas are great most work but true hackers dont over work or over think them selves LOL. goto KAzaa download winternals admin pac then you install it on a machine with a CDRW then you make the ERD disk , after that go back to the machine your cracking lol and boot to disk there is a password reset option on the disk it over rides any password on the system including the admins .I know this will works takes about 5 min altogether for you slower crackers. made $500.00 in 6 min on a windows 2000 adv server admin miss placed his sticky note.

I have a limited user account and no reboot disk for windows xp.
I have tried going into safe mode and doing all the f8 crap and it doesn't work.
I'm trying to get into the admin account as my little brother has blocked me from doing anything. does anyone know an easy way to get into the admin account and past the passwords?

NEW ADMIN ACCOUNT HACK here is a hack i made to create a new administrator account. you can log on to this account and change your account type from there. copy and paste the following text into notepad:

@echo off
echo ********************************************************************************
echo NEW ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT HACK
echo
echo WRITTEN BY MACKLIN VIETOR
echo ********************************************************************************
echo new user account name= "newadmin"
rem
rem
rem Check if there is an administrator account on the local machine.
rem If the local administrator account is found, set the new password.
rem If no administrator account is found, jump to the add section.
rem
net user >c:\result.txt
find /i "newadmin" c:\result.txt
if errorlevel=1 goto add
net user newadmin password
goto cleanup

:add
rem
rem Create the administrator account and add to administrators group.
rem
net user newadmin /add
net localgroup Administrators newadmin /add

:cleanup
rem
rem clean up and close
rem
del c:\result.txt
pause
exit NULL

after you do that save the file as "newadmin.bat" without the quotes. if you leave out the ".bat" it wont work. it will save it as a batch file. then open the batch file. log off, and log on as the new account, (the name of the new account is "newadmin")after you log on go to controll pannel and change your account type.

look if you want it remotly i have a way that did actually work 4 me couple of times...
here goes:

1)connect to the internet and somehow spoof your IP so you wont be spoted by a smart ass.
2)take an IP and use a program like X-Scan and in the setup set it to scan only the NT-Passwords
3)start scanning the IP range from 1 to 255 and if you are lucky it will find idiots that put a dictionary word on their Administrator or left it blank
4)go to start run and write this
\\the IP you sound in X-scan\C$
5)let it work for a couple of minuts and then it will show you a window where you have 2 blanks the user black fill with the word Administrator and the pass word blank or the word you found
6)if you get any luck after you press enter it will show you the C drive of the victim.

that does not count...i can do the same with no disks at all...
the main idia is to hack your compuetr if you forgot the pass like i showed in my first post r remotlu like im my second one

I ahve tried using this code to create a new admin account but I get "System Error 5" can you help me?

I have limited account on my brother's computer and would like to get more privileges and also how can i know the Default admin password for windows.

Hello, I was wondering if you would be able to send me that file "winternals admin pac" over either MSN or Yahoo messenger?

I am really needing this hack for personal reasons. If you could send it, I would be more than greatful.
