Connect In Private unveils new secure email, browsing app for BlackBerry
Secure browsing, secure email and internet privacy tools provider Connect In Private has introduced its new secure email and browsing application for BlackBerry smartphones.
The new app provides BlackBerry users with an email account and a Web browser that accesses the Internet from behind CIP's IP addresses, ensuring impenetrable, untraceable transactions when utmost in privacy is required.

Hackers Update PlayBook Jailbreak Tool After RIM Closes Security Flaw
Less than a day after Research in Motion patched a flaw that allowed users to jailbreak the PlayBook, hackers have found another security hole to exploit.
On Dec. 5, a team of hackers, led by "Neuralic," released Dingelberry, a jailbreak tool, to make it easier for users to jailbreak their own PlayBook tablets in order to gain root access on the device. The team had initially posted a video demonstrating a successful jailbreak a few days earlier.

RIM renames BBX as BlackBerry 10 after trademark dispute
Research In Motion has rebranded its next generation mobile platform as BlackBerry 10, after its use of the BBX brand ran into a trademark dispute in the U.S.
RIM said in a statement on Wednesday that it had announced at its DevCon Asia conference in Singapore a new brand name for its next generation mobile platform for smartphones and tablets, which will bring the best of the BlackBerry and QNX platforms to customers and partners.

Assange: 'iPhone, BlackBerry, Gmail users - you're all screwed'
Surveillance companies can use your iPhone to take photos of you and your surroundings without your knowledge, said a representative from the Bureau of Investigative Journalism at a panel chaired by Julian Assange™ today.
Companies also sell products that will let them change the messages you write, track your location and nick your email contacts, claimed speakers on the panel that included representatives from Privacy International and the aforementioned bureau.
