British Hackers Target Falklands Computer Game
A new front has been opened in the long-running dispute over the sovereignty of the Falkland Islands, after UK hackers attacked an online game in which Argentine special forces battle British 'terrorists' for control of the islands.
On Monday 24 March, Dattatec.com, a company based in Rosario, Argentina, launched a version of the popular online game Counter Strike based in the Falklands. The company claims it has already been downloaded 15,000 times.

Metal Gear Solid V seems too beautiful for current-gen consoles
Before it was revealed as Metal Gear Solid V at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco today, the game previously known only as The Phantom Pain had already been extensively teased with blatant clues pointing toward the involvement of MGS series creator Hideo Kojima.

EA Origin Exploit Lets Hackers Control Your PC
ReVuln, the company who revealed a potential exploit within the Steam client last October, have done it again. This time they demonstrated in front of an audience at a Black Hat security conference in Amsterdam that hackers could easily hijack computers with EA’s Origin client installed. There are caveats, however.

Hackers open up offline play, modding tools for SimCity
EA and Maxis' claim that it would take "significant engineering work" to make a workable offline version of SimCity took another hit today. Hackers have released modding tools that disable the game's periodic server checks without breaking the simulation. The tools also unlock other features not in the final game.
