Kim Dotcom's artist-friendly streaming service Baboom arrives to take on Apple Music
Music service Baboom has begun to offer a music streaming service that rewards artists and doesn't just grind them down and turn them out like sausage meat.
Baboom believes in a "world of creative and financial independence", according to its online hellos, and presents itself as a caring, sharing place for artists. We first met Baboom when it bounced out of the Kim Dotcom camp last year.
The internet entrepreneur was full to the brim with Baboom at the time, and launched the service with an album of his own creation. But the music industry is a fickle beast - see Robson and Jerome - and Dotcom soon realised that they were waters in which he was not particularly welcome.
