FireEye buys iSight Partners for $200 million
Cybersecurity vendor FireEye has acquired iSight Partners for $200 million.
Based in Dallas, iSight offers a subscription threat intelligence service for enterprises. The firm employs a team of security experts across 17 countries to search for evidence of online threats and cybercrime.
Last year iSight clocked $50 million in billings for its service and gained some notoriety for uncovering cyber campaigns in Iran and Russia. FireEye is hoping iSight can fill in some gaps in its portfolio of digital defenses. After struggling in the bookings department for several quarters, FireEye has started to move beyond a one-size-fits-all approach to enterprise security and toward more specialized security offerings.
